First Research Coordination Meeting under the IAEA project Mitigating Greenhouse Gases using Radiation Technology (F22080)

n March 10-14, 2025, the first Research Coordination Meeting was held at the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT) as a part of the F22080 project “Mitigating Greenhouse Gases using Radiation Technology”.

Agreement on installation of a modern electron accelerator

On December 17, 2024, an agreement on installation of a modern electron accelerator between the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology, represented by Prof. Andrzej Chmielewski, and the Chinese company CGN Dasheng Electron Akcelerator Technology CO., LTD, represented by Mr. Jun Wang, was signed.

RADOV 24M Annual Meeting

The EU project RADOV held its second annual meeting at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 25, 2024, after completing the second year of project implementation.

INCT is implementing the project RAPID that has received funding under the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO)

Project of the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT) "RAPID - Center for Radiation Research and Technology. Increasing the research potential of INCT by purchasing a linear accelerator” received funding under the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO). A direct result of the project will be the installation of a new electron accelerator.

Basic Training School on Accelerators 2024

On June 18-27, 2024, the Basic Training School on Accelerators BTS24 was held, addressed to young scientists dealing with accelerator techniques. The training was organized jointly by the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology and the Heavy Ion Laboratory of the University of Warsaw.

On September 20-22, the next edition of the NUTECH conference was held - International Conference on Development and Applications of Nuclear Technologies, organized in cooperation by the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology, the Polish Nucleonic Society and the Polish Chemical Society. .

Publication in Journal Science by INCT Ph.D. student

Mr. Nelson Kiprono Rotich as a co-author amongst the 31 other international researchers did a publication (on Feb. 9, 2023) entitled “Expanded geographic distribution and dietary strategies of the earliest Oldowan hominins and Paranthropus”, in the journal Science with an Impact Factor of 63.714

The RADOV “RADiation harvesting of bioactive peptides from egg prOteins and their integration in adVanced functional products” project kick-off-meeting (KoM) was held on 22-23 September 2022 in the INCT.

The implementation of the EURO-LABS - EUROpean Laboratories for Accelerator Based Sciences (Grant Agreement n° 101057511) was started on September 1th, 2022.
