On May 30, the Institute was visited by the Director General of the NEA-OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, William D. Magwood, IV, a function he has held since 2014. In 2010-2014, he was one of five commissioners appointed by the US President and approved by the US Senate to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The Guest visited the Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry Center and the Radiation Sterilization Station. He is also very interested in education and training programs on nuclear sciences. He met with foreign students of the Doctoral School, during this meeting he encouraged them to use the knowledge gained at IChTJ in the technological development of their countries. He asked many questions about their studies and plans for the future. In the evening, the Guest gave a lecture at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw "21st Century Nuclear Resurgence - Opportunities and Challenges".
