Dr Jerzy Narbutt (Ostyk-Narbutt) studied chemistry at the Silesian Technical University, Gliwice (Poland), and at the State University of St. Petersburg (Russia) where he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry in 1963. From 1964 to 1983 he worked at the Institute of Nuclear Research where he received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry in 1974. Since 1983 he has been working at the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology. In 1991 he was appointed Head of the Department of Radiochemistry. In 1992 he obtained his D.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Warsaw University of Technology. He is the author and co-author of over 50 publications.
