The electrodeposited Cu-Cd alloys have higher solubility of cadmium in the copper matrix and the non-equilibrium phase composition. The X-ray pattern analysis of the alloys with cadmium content of above 10 at.% shows that these materials are amorphous.
The measurement of diffusion X-ray scattering was applied for searching of structure changes of Cu-Cd amorphous alloys. The Radial Distribution Function and the Short-range Order Parameters were calculated for each sample. These procedures should describe changes of Cu-Cd atom order versus cadmium content and define of an approximate structure model for Cu-Cd amorphous alloys.
The Rietveld Refinement is proposed as a new approach to description of X-ray scattering intensity for Cu-Cd alloys. The main assumption is a fact that the crystalline size is near to the range of alloy elementary unit.
