The investigations of the influence of the cold plastic deformation and long-time ageing (1023 K, 100 h)
on the properties of stainless steel were performed. The rods made of steel grade 1H18N9T were cold
deformed by forging up to 10% and 20% of cold-work.
The structures of the material after different kind of deformation and heat treatment were studied
using light microscope and transmission electron microscope. The texture of rods was examined using
the simple X-ray diffraction method.
