Within the formalism of cellular autonomia, average relaxation time is calculated for small (N<9) systems of cells governed by various class of rules of time evolution. The results are compared to the time of relaction of a genetic system. Most promising results are obtained for local homogeneous automata, if periodic rules are excluded.
