We present the results of calculations of alpha-half-lives for heavy nuclei with realistic single-particle non-axial Woods-Saxon (WS) potential.
All even-even, odd-A, and odd-odd nuclei are considered.
The paper gives a full review of Talpha for nuclei with 96 =< Z =< 111 as calculated from seven different formulae found in the literature.
It has been proven that the WS potential predicts alpha-decay properties of heavy nuclei with a good accuracy.
The number N = 162 is a magic numebr of WS potential.
It is seen from the discontinuity of the T½ plots.
