MEASUREMENT OF PLUTONIUM ISOTOPES IN GROUND-LEVEL AIR IN NORTHEN-GERMANY – HISTORY AND RECENT RESULTS

The history of plutonium measurements performed on ground-level aerosols is summarised. Recent results are presented, the activity ratios a(^(239+240)Pu/a(¹³⁷Cs) and a(²³⁸Pu)/a(^(239+240)Pu) measured are discussed and potential sources of ²³⁸Pu are considered.
