Preparation of test materials and organization of interlaboratory comparison on determination of 137Cs and 90Sr radioactivity concentrations in water, milk and soil has been described. The interlaboratory comparison was conducted by the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (Warsaw) on request of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency for laboratories forming radiation monitoring network in Poland. The interlaboratory comparison was provided according to ISO/IEC Guide 43-1:1997 and IUPAC International Harmonized Protocol (2006). Test materials were prepared from waters by spiking with known amounts of 137Cs or 90Sr. Homogeneity testing shown that milk and soil were homogeneous for sample mass at least 250 g. Test materials and appropriate forms were send to 11 laboratories willing to participate in the comparison.
