Wireless system for air dust concentration monitoring
General information
Contemporary wireless transmission of data makes possible creation of an information channel for transmission of data from measuring devices to other place where the data are collected and processed. The measuring devices can also be controlled and programmed with help of such information channel from a central computer. Present typical solution of wireless transmission system employs existing infrastructure of mobile phone networks and mobile phone operators. The measuring data between the monitoring devices and the central computer are transmitted with GSM modem.
Description of wireless system for air dust concentration monitoring
Air dust concentration monitor AMIZ-2000 is assembled usually at the place where wire communication connection not always is accessible, which makes difficult transmission of measured results. To overcome these difficulties the monitor was equipped with GSM modem that enables remote communication with AMIZ-2000 gauge, and permits to build a monitoring network containing a number of gauges. The measuring data from all the gauges in the network can be collected in a central computer equipped with another GSM modem and proper computer program.
Collecting data from AMIZ-2000
Operator of the system selects the gauge from witch the data are to be collected, and then he connects with the modem installed in the selected gauge. After the connection is made, the data from the gauge and are transmitted and stored in data base of the central computer. In the same manner operation parameters of the gauge are changed.
Features of the wireless monitoring system
- Collection of data from any gauge in the monitoring system.
- Remote check up of operation parameters of the gauge and programming a new parameters.
- Alarm signals sent from the gauges to a programmed mobile phone number (in the form of text short message system, SMS). The SMS text can be changed (programmed) by the user.
- Review of the measurements results made by each of the dust concentration gauges in the system.
- Wide range of possible reports resuming the measuring results (daily reports, monthly and yearly reports, and different period reports).
