Key objectives of activities of the Centre

Key objectives of the Centre include carrying on innovative research regarding new methods of research and environmental monitoring, as well as developing and improving state-of-the-art environmental protection technologies. Works are completed by commercialisation of results and their implementation by business entities. Scientific research is complemented by promotion and dissemination of knowledge of new technologies using modern communication techniques as well as education of staff at business entities on advanced technologies and innovation. The Centre carries out tasks resulting from EU priorities and plans of the development of the European Research Area (ERA).

The Centre carries on an extensive training programme on different levels, supported by the participation of lecturers from foreign research centres cooperating with the Centre, as well as by secondments and scientific visits of the Centre employees in leading research centres all over the world.

One of key objectives of the Centre is to obtain funds for financing of its activities from Structural Funds and their equivalents under EU Framework Programmes. Through the cooperation with other Centres of Excellence with similar activity area, the Centre would aim to integrate research, strengthen the research potential and facilitate commercialisation of developed technologies.
